Mitsubachi is a honey infused wheat beer crafted with care to a 100 year old recipe from the Misotaki family. Mitsubachi means ‘honey bee’ in Japanese and has a uniquely mellow sweetness.

GOALS
– Create a new identity for Mitsubachi
– Showcase the products unique honey infusion
– The overall identity will showcase the products unique honey infusion through various packaging elements
– The target audience includes those aged 20–40 with an interest in craft beer or quirky beer (no gender bias)

SOLUTION
Concept: Glowing Honey Droplet
The concept was triggered by catching light through a common brown beer bottle and the connection made between the colour and glow of a droplet of honey. It led to the development of a die line that incorporates a droplet of honey cut out. When placed or held in certain light, (i.e. refrigerator or sunlight) the honey orb glows and adds yet another dimension to the design.
